CHUMY: Panda Pim


CHUMY: Pim Panda

Materials:
- Light worsted /DK weight yarn
- 2.5mm Crochet hook
- Polyfill (for stuffing)
- Black, White felt fabric (only need a little piece so leftover will do)
- 8mm safetey eyes with White trim (If not available you can use 6mm black safetey, see eye preparation instruction)
- yarn cutter and yarn needle
- small amount of fabric glue

Eye preparation.
 IF you're using 8mm safetey eyes with white trim.
- Cut an oval shape with black felt, poke a hole in the middle of the oval and insert safetey eyes with trim.

IF you're using 6mm  Black safetey eyes.
Step1:  Poke a hole in a piece of white felt fabric, put 6mm safetey eyes in the hole. Cut the felt fabric circular to make white trim of eyes.
Step2: Cut an oval shape with black felt, poke a hole in the middle of the oval and insert safetey eyes with trim.

Sc - Single Crochet
Inc - Increase
Dec - Decrease
St - Stitch
Sts- Stitches

Pattern start:
All pieces are done in continuous round,without join at the end of every round.

Arms:
Round 1: 6Sc in Magic ring (If not familiar with magic ring: Ch2, 6 sc in 2nd chain from hook)
Round 2: Sc in each st around. Finish off, cut yarn leaving long tal for sewing later.

Legs:
Round 1: 6Sc in Magic ring, do not join. (6) (If not familiar with magic ring: Ch2, 6 sc in 2nd chain from hook, do not join)
Round 2: Inc in each st around (12)
Round 3-4: Sc in each st around. Finish off, cut yarn leaving long tal for sewing later.

Ears:
Round 1: 6Sc in Magic ring, do not join. (6) (If not familiar with magic ring: Ch2, 6 sc in 2nd chain from hook, do not join)
Round 2: Inc in each st around (12)
Round 3: (Sc in next st, Inc in next st), repeat around (18)
Round 4-5: Sc in each st around (18)
Round 6: (Sc in next st, Dec), repeat around (12)
Finish off, cut yarn leaving long tal for sewing later.



Body:
Start with WHiTE yarn.
Round 1: 6Sc in Magic ring, do not join. (6) (If not familiar with magic ring: Ch2, 6 sc in 2nd chain from hook, do not join)
Round 2: Inc in each st around (12)
Round 3: (Sc in next st, Inc in next st), repeat around (18)
Round 4: (Sc in next st, Inc in next st), repeat around (27)
Round 5: (Sc in next 2sts, Inc in next st), repeat around (36)
Round 6: (Sc in next 11sts, Inc in next st), repeat around (39)
Round 7: (Sc in next 12st, Inc in next st), repeat around (42)
Round 8-14: Sc in each st around (42)
Place prepared eyes between rounds 11 and 12, 5 stitches apart.
*Change to BLACK yarn.
Round 15: Working in back loops only, Sc in each st around (42)
Round 16: Sc in each st around (42)
*Change to White yarn.
Round 17: Working in back loops only, Sc in each st around (42)
Round 18: Sc in each st around (42)
*Change to BLACK yarn.
Round 19: Working in back loops only, (Sc in next 12st, Dec), repeat around (39)
Round 20: (Sc in next 11st, Dec), repeat around (36)
Round 21: (Sc in next 4sts, Dec), repeat around (30)
Stuff the body firm.
Round 22: (Sc in next 3sts, Dec), repeat around (24)
Round 23: (Sc in next 2sts, Dec), repeat around (18)
Round 24: (Sc in next st, Dec), repeat around (12)
Round 25: Dec around (6)
Cut yarn leaving 6 inches tail. Using yarn needle, thread trough each stitch, pull tight to close.


Sewing the pieces.
- Sew the ears 5 rows down from the top of the head.
-Sew the arms in the side of the body, between rounds 18 to 20.
-You can sew the legs at the bottom with your desired leg gap.
