Sprinkle Round Bag

I made this bag with a local yarn brand. My youngest named it "Sprinkles" round bag. 
This bag is consist of two circle joined with long rectangle. The strap is basically a long chain,that can be adjusted according to your preferred length just by knotting to the strap hole in the side of the bag.

Materials:
• Loveknots yarn (Light worsted/ Dk weight)
Color A: Shade 08353 multicolored (approx. 100 meters)
Color B: Shade 018B (approx. 50 meters)
• Size F/5 - 3.75mm  and size G/6 - 4mm crochet hook
• Yarn needle
• Stitch marker

Gauge:
Finished measurements: 7.5 inches diameter
Skill level: Beginner

The pattern is written in English using US crochet terminology. Instructions are easy to follow if you are familiar with basic crochet techniques. 

Abbreviations: 
• Ch - chain
• Hdc – half double crochet
• st/sts – stitch/stitches 
• sl st – slip stitch
• Inc – increase
• FO – fasten off 

Pattern start:


Bag main panels:
With color A.  Make two. Using 3.75mm crochet hook.
Round 1: Ch3, 10 Hdc in 3rd chain from hook, sl st to join (10)
Round 2: Ch2, Inc in every st, sl st to join (20)
Round 3: Ch2 (Hdc, Inc) repeat around, sl st to join (30)
Round 4: Ch2 (2 Hdc, Inc) repeat around, sl st to join (40)
Round 5: Ch2 (3 Hdc, Inc) repeat around, sl st to join (50)
Round 6: Ch2 (4 Hdc, Inc) repeat around, sl st to join (60)
Round 7: Ch2 (5 Hdc, Inc) repeat around, sl st to join (70)
Round 8: Ch2 (6 Hdc, Inc) repeat around, sl st to join (80)
Round 9: Ch2 (7 Hdc, Inc) repeat around, sl st to join (90)
Round 10: Ch2 (8 Hdc, Inc) repeat around, sl st to join (100)
Round 11: Ch2 (9 Hdc, Inc) repeat around, sl st to join (110)
Finish off and weave in end.

Side panel:
With color B:
Using 4mm crochet hook.
Round 1: Ch 81, Sc in 2nd chain from hook and each st across, ch 4 (1st strap hole made), work in the other side of chain Sc in next 80 sts, ch 4 (2nd strap hole made), sl st to join (160 sc, 2 ch4 space)
Round 2: Ch 1,(Place stitch marker in 1st st) Sc 80 (Place stitch marker in 80th st), 6 Sc in ch4 space, (Place stitch marker in 87th st) Sc 80 (Place stitch marker in 86th st), 6 Sc in ch4 space, sl st to join. (172) 
Fasten off and weave in end.


Strap:
With two strand of yarn held together using 4mm crochet hook.
Chain 180 (or until desired length) and finisf off.


Flap of the bag:
With color B.
Row 1: ch 5, hdc in 3rd ch from hook, and next 2 sts, 4 hdc in last ch, work in the other side of chain, hdc in next 3 sts
Row 2: ch 1 turn, 3 hdc , inc x4, 3 hdc
Row 3: ch 1 turn, 5 hdc,inc, ch 5 skip 5 sts (Button hole made), inc, 5 hdc
Row 4: ch 1 turn, sc in each st across. FO and weave in end.

Assembly:
• Thread the same yarn used for main panel in a yearn needle. With the 1st main panel and side panel facing wrong side together, whip stitch starting in the 1st unto the 2nd marked stitches of the side panel.
• Do the same to join the s3cond main panel.
• Insert the strap in the strap hole and tie a knot. 
•Using the same yarn used to make the flap, sew the flap on the center of opening of back bag panel.
•Stitch the button on the other panel and align with the button hole.
