Maya doll Halloween outfit




This pattern is written in US Terminology
Abbreviation
Ch- chain 
Sc- single crochet 
Dc- double crochet
Inc- increase 
Dec- decrease 
Sts- stitches
Fpdc- front post double crochet

Notes
-To make the clothing fit be sure to use the same yarn weight and hook size used for making
Maya basic doll.
-If you have tendency of over stuffing your doll, i recommend that you go up a hook size when
making the clothing in this pattern.
-The first stitch will always be in the same stitch where the chain is.
-Chain made in the beginning of round is not a stitch unless stated.
-When it said join, it means join with slip stitch
- Always join in the first stitch made not the chain made at the beginning of the round.

Hair cap
Round 1: 6 sc in magic circle (6)
Round 2: inc in each stitch around (12
Round 3: (sc in next stitch, inc in next) repeat around (18)
Round 4: (sc in next 2 sts, inc in next) repeat around (24)
Round 5: (sc in next 3 sts, inc in next) repeat around (30)
Round 6: (sc in next 4 sts, inc in next) repeat around (36)
Round 7: (sc in next 5sts, inc in next) repeat around (42)
Round 8: (sc in next 6 sts, inc in next) repeat around (48)
Round 9: (sc in next 7 sts, inc in next) repeat around (54)
Round 10: (sc in next 8 sts, inc in next) repeat around (60)
Round 11: (sc in next 9 sts, inc in next) repeat around (66)
Round 12: hdc in each stitch around (66)
Round 13: sc in each stitch around working on back loops only (66)

Cut yarn, leaving long tail.
Using tapestry needle use tail to weave in and out up the join of round 12, pull to gather, repeat
3x.
Fasten off and hide loose end. Place stitch marker in the 15th st away from the gathered part of
the hair cap (both sides).
Cut yarn 16 inches long, fold in half to make a loop at one end, make a fringe where you put your
marker and the next 5 sts (6 fringe each side), then braid the yarn tails. Secure braids by
wrapping yarn of the same color and tie firmly.

Dress
With orange yarn
Ch 33
Row 1: sc in e2nd ch from hook and each st across (32)
Row 2: ch 1, * sc 3, inc in next st, repeat * across (40)
Row 3: ch 1, *sc 4, inc in next st, repeat * across (48)
With black yarn.
Row 4: ch 1, sc 7, ch 7 skip 10 sts, sc 14, ch 7 skip 10 sts, sc 7 (42)
Row 5: ch 1, sc in each st across (42) Join.
Try if the yoke of the dress fit. If too tight, redo the yoke with a larger hook size before
continuing.
You will now work in round.
Round 1-3: ch 2, dc in each st around (42) Join.
With orange yarn.
Round 4: ch 1, sc in each st around (42) Join.
Round 5: ch 2, *dc 6, inc in next st, repeat * around (48) Join.
Round 6: ch 2, *dc 7, inc in next st, repeat * around (54) Join.
Round 7: ch 2, *dc 8, inc in next st, repeat * around (60) Join.
With black yarn.
Round 8: ch 1, sc in each st around (60) Join.
With orange yarn.
Round 9: ch 2, dc in each st around (60) Finish off. Cut yarn and weave in yarn tail.
Add an orange bow in round 4 (optional)

Hat
Round 1: 6 sc in magic circle (6) Join.
Round 2: ch 1, inc in each stitch around (12) Join.
Round 3: ch 1,(sc in next stitch, inc in next) repeat around (18) Join.
Round 4: ch 1,(sc in next 2 sts, inc in next) repeat around (24) Join.
Round 5: ch 1,(sc in next 3 sts, inc in next) repeat around (30) Join.
Round 6: ch 1,(sc in next 4 sts, inc in next) repeat around (36) Join.
Round 7: ch 1,(sc in next 5sts, inc in next) repeat around (42) Join.
Round 8: ch 1,(sc in next 6 sts, inc in next) repeat around (48) Join.
Round 9: ch 1,(sc in next 7 sts, inc in next) repeat around (54) Join.
Round 10: ch 2, (dc in next 8 sts, inc in next) repeat around (60) Join
Round 11-13: ch 2, (dc in next 8 sts,fpdc in next2 sts) repeat around (60) Join.
Round 14: ch 1, sc in each st around (60) Finish off and weave in yarn tail.
Stem
Round 1: 6 sc in magic circle (6)
Round2-5: sc in each st around (6)
Finish off. Cut yarn leaving long tail for sewing later.
Add curly cue.
Ch9, (ch 3 counts as first dc) work 2 dc in 4th ch from hook, 3 dc in each st across.
Finish off. Sew stem and curly cue at the top of the hat.

Shoes
Make two.
With orange yarn
Round 1: ch9, on 2nd ch from hook, 7sc, 3sc in next st, 6sc, inc in next (18)
Round 2: inc in next st, 6sc, inc in next st, 3sc in next st, inc in next st, 6sc, inc in next st, 3sc in
next st (26)
Round 3: inc in next st, 8sc, inc in next st, (sc in next st ,inc in next) x2, sc in next 8 sts, (inc in
next, sc in next st,) x2 (32)
Round 4: hdc in next st, inc in next, 8hdc, inc in next st, 2hdc, inc in next 2 sts, 2hdc, inc in next
st, 8hdc, inc in next st, 2hdc, inc in next 2 sts, hdc in next st (40)
Round 5: sc in each st around working on back loops only (40)
Round 6: dc in each st around (40)
Round 7: work 11 sc, dec 6x, 17sc (34)

With black yarn

Finish off and hide loose end.

Pumpkin pin cushion
Round 1: 6 sc in magic circle (6)
Round 2: inc in each stitch around (12
Round 3: (sc in next stitch, inc in next) repeat around (18)
Round 4: (sc in next 2 sts, inc in next) repeat around (24)
Round 5: (sc in next 3 sts, inc in next) repeat around (30)
Round 6-10: sc in each stitch around (30)
Round 11: (sc in next 3 sts, dec) repeat around (24)
Round 12: (sc in next 2 sts, dec) repeat around (18)
Round 13: (sc in next 1 sts, dec) repeat around (12)
Round 14: dec around (6)
Stuff the pumpkin.
Cut yarn, thread through each st and pull closed.
To create a pumpkin shape, use a tapestry needle to pull the tail through the center of the
pumpkin, wrap the yarn around the side, and pull back through the center. Give a gentle tug to
make a slight indent. Repeat this four more times to create evenly spaced shape around the
pumpkin.

Stem
Round 1: 5 sc in magic circle (5)
Round 2-3: sc in each st around (5)
Round 4: inc in each st around (10)
Stuff the stem. Finish off, cut yarn leaving long tail for sewing stem to the top of the pumpkin.
