Maya Yellow outfit

Notes: 

• To make the clothing fit be sure to use the same yarn weight and hook size used for making Maya basic doll. If you have tendency of over stuffing your doll, i recommend that you go up a hook size when making the clothing in this pattern. 

• Chain made in the beginning of round is not a stitch unless stated.  

• The first stitch will always be in the same stitch where the chain is. 

• When it said join, it means join with slip stitch. 

• Always join in the first stitch made not the chain made at the beginning of the round. 

This pattern is written in US Terminology.

Abbreviation:

Special stitches: 

Picot - Chain 3, slip stitch in 3rd chain from hook. 

Dc2Tog-  Yarn Over, insert hook through stitch to be worked. Yarn over and draw the yarn through the stitch (3 loops on hook). Yarn over and draw the yarn through the two loops only (2 loops on hook).   Yarn over insert hook in same stitch,yarn over and draw the yarn through the stitch (4 loops on hook). Yarn over and draw the yarn through the two loops only (3 loops on hook). Yarn over and draw yarn through 3 loops on hook. That's One Dc2Tog made. 

Front post Single crochet- Insert hook under post of stitch. Yarn over pull up a loop (2 loops on hook), yarn over and pull through all loops on hook. Front post Double crochet- Yarn over, insert hook under post of stitch. Yarn over pull up a loop (3 loops on hook). Yarn over and draw yarn through first 2 loops only (2 loops on hook). Yarn over and pull through all loops on hook. 

 

Dress: 

 Using main color: Ch 29,  

Row 1: Sc in 2nd Ch from hook and next 2 sts, 3 Sc in next st, Sc in next 6 sts, 3 sc in next st, Sc in next 6 sts, 3 Sc in next st, Sc in next 6 sts, 3 Sc in next st, Sc in next 3 sts (36) 

Row 2: Ch 1 turn, Sc in same st and next 3 sts, 3 Sc in next st, Sc in next 8 sts, 3 sc in next st, Sc in next 8 sts, 3 Sc in next st, Sc in next 8 sts, 3 Sc in next st, Sc in next 4 sts (44) 

Row 3: Ch 1 turn, Sc in same st and next 4 sts, 3 Sc in next st, Sc in next 10 sts, 3 sc in next st, Sc in next 10 sts, 3 Sc in next st, Sc in next 10 sts, 3 Sc in next st, Sc in next 5 sts (52) 

• You will now work in rounds. 

Round 1: Ch 1 turn, Sc in same st and next 5 sts, Inc in next st, Ch 5 skip 12 sts, Inc in next st, Sc in next 12 sts, Inc in next st, Ch 5 skip 12 sts, Inc in next st, Sc in next 6 sts, Join (42) 

•• Now try the dress onto your doll to check the fit, if it’s too tight, simply re work the yoke in a larger hook size before continuing. 

Round 2: Ch 1, Sc in each st around, Join (42) 

Round 3: Ch 1, Sc in same st and next 5 sts, Inc in next st, Sc in next 7 sts, Inc in next st, Sc in next 12 sts, Inc in next st, Sc in next 7 sts, Inc in next st, Sc in next 6 sts, Join (46) 

Round 4: Ch 1, Sc in same st and next 12 sts, Inc in next st, Sc in next 20 sts, Inc in next st, Sc in next 12 sts, Join (48) 

Round 5: Use contrasting color yarn. Ch 1,Sc in each st around, Join (48) 

Round 6: Use main color. Ch 1, Sc in same st and next 2 sts, Inc in next st, (* Sc in next 3 sts, Inc in next st) repeat (*) around, Join (60) 

 Round 7-11: Ch 2,Dc - Ch 2- Dc2Tog in same st, skip next st, FpDc in next, (* skip next st, Dc2Tog- Ch 2- Dc2Tog in next st, skip next st, FpDc in next) repeat (*) around, Join in first st made.  

Round 12: Ch 1, (* 3 Dc- picot- 3 Dc in chain space of cluster v-st, 

FpSc in previous Dc post) repoeat (*) around, Join in Ch 1 made in the beggining of round.  

Finish off and hide in loose end. 

 

Hat: 

Using main color.

 Round 1: In magic ring, Ch 2, 15 Dc, Join (15) 

Round 2: Ch 2, Inc in each st around, Join (30) 

Round 3: Ch 2, (* Dc, Inc in next st) repeat (*) around, Join (45) 

Round 4: Ch 2, (*2  Dc, Inc in next st) repeat (*) around, Join (60) 

Round 5: Ch 3 (count as 1 Dc). (*Skip 3 sts, Work 3 Dc between next sts) 

 

 

repeat (*) around. When you get to the end of round, just work 2 Dc and join in the 3rd chain made in the beginning of round. 

 Round 6-8: Ch 3 (count as 1 Dc). (*Work 2 Dc in space made in the previous round)  

repeat (*) around. When you get to the end of round, just work 2 Dc and join in the 3rd chain made in the beginning of round. 

Round 9: Use contrasting color yarn. Ch 2, Dc in each stitch around. Join (60) 

Finish off and hide in loose end.
